Zinc phosphate is generally used in conditions requiring long-term corrosion resistance. Although it is widely used in automotive, white goods, galvano, pipe and wire industry, it can also be applied to products used in indoor environment. Although it is more costly to use as an undercoat than iron phosphate, the corrosion resistance it provides is the reason for preference. Zinc phosphate, which is used for protective purposes, provides a thicker coating and increases corrosion resistance to higher levels.
