Ballast water additive. Organic polyelectrolyte. It eliminates the adhesion potential of mud, dust and shaft in the water. It keeps these substances floating and allows them to be easily removed from the tank during ballast discharge. Prevents mud, dust and shaft from formation of a hard deposit on the surface of the ballast tank. The adhesion of sediments such as mud, dust and shafts to the surface of the ballast tank will also affect the reproduction of biological organisms, increasing the risk of these organisms being transported to different ecosystems and causing damage. Therefore, BWM (Ballast Water Management Convention) recommends cleaning the ballast tank surface from sediments.
Method of Use:
It should be dosed into the ballast tank at short intervals, gradually.
To remove dense deposits, 15 kg should be added to 100 tons of ballast water and wait 24 hours. After 24 hours, the ballast tank should be emptied in accordance with the instructions of the local authority. For regular application, 3 kg should be added to 100 tons of ballast water. Protective gloves and mask should be used during the application and the environment should be ventilated.
